To continue our shared ministry and conversations around race and faith, the St. Matthews UMC and West Market Street UMC "Let's Talk Race" team will host a Zoom program moderated by Deaconess Garlinda Burton on Juneteenth from 6-8pm. Many of us have been doing the hard work of looking at race and faith, stepping out of our comfort zones, and seeking ways to grow in understanding. This panel discussion will continue our look at the Methodist church, from its early days to current times and ask if the church is ready to confront racism, including its own racism.
