Organists Susan Bates, Dreama Lovitt, and Sarah Kennedy will kick off the 25th Anniversary Year celebration of the Dobson-Rosales Organ at West Market Street UMC, Greensboro, with a program that honors and acknowledges the great history of women organists at the church. A varied program will showcase the organ, with classic pieces by Maurice Duruflé, J.S. Bach, Charles-Marie Widor, and Camille Saint-Saëns, a more recent piece by James M. Bates, and will also feature many works by women composers (Emma Lou Diemer, Margaret Sandresky, Sarah A. Pierce, Christina Harmon, Anne Wilson, and Errollyn Wallen).
Admission is free and open to the public, but we request that attendees bring one canned good item for the Spartan Open Pantry at UNCG and the Aggie Source Food Pantry at NCA&T University.
Parking is available on the street and in the Commerce Place lot behind the church.
